The Bethesda All Stars Board of Directors

 

The Bethesda All Stars is a 501c3 non-profit under the Bethesda Lutheran Church umbrella.  The Bethesda All Stars has a paid director who is responsible for the day to day operations of the child care center.  The director is responsible to a board of directors.  Represented on the board of directors are members of Bethesda church, parents of All Star children, and others from the community. 

As a member of the board of directors, you are going to set policies and procedures for the programming of our organization.  You will be asked to devote your time and efforts to meet our mission.  Your active participation will fill you with a sense of pride in our accomplishments.

Board meetings are scheduled once a month on the second Thursday beginning at 6:30pm.  Our board operates under a set of By-laws.  The Board is  comprised of up to ten members.  Members are appointed to a two year term with the exception of the parent representative who served a one year term.  Each board member is asked to serve on a committee within the board.  These committees include:  grant writing, board development/recruitment, fundraising, finance, parent advisory, and personnel/staffing.
